The evidence all seems to support the claim. A scandal some thirty years prior, quickly concealed with some help from my very own grandmother, of all people. That is certainly interesting. Whatever the details, this scandal put some distance between Draese and House Atsir, that much is certain.
Odd that there are no records recounting precisely why. No doubt mother would have known, but ... there's no sense in treading that path again.
Sisters. I suppose a woman cast off and rejected as she must have been would find such a concept fascinating. She must have wondered as she wandered the desert what her life might have been like, had she been permitted to grow up wealthy in the city, with a mother, a father, sister and brother all.
Ultimately, it is good to know the Prophet has such a glaring weakness. A soft spot for estranged family is a dangerous thing to harbor, for a woman such as her.
