Born heir to House Atsir of Cleraine, Atsiria, Westa never lacked for anything. Proving to be exceedingly bright from a very young age, instructors and tutors were amazed at how quickly she grasped complicated concepts and ideas, but the young heiress put all flatter and compliments aside, instead intently working on how she could improve herself, and the situation around her. Looking up to her Lady mother, Laeleena was the model Westa shaped herself after in the very beginning before she had enough knowledge and wit to deduce and plan things on her own. It didn't go unnoticed by the Lady of Atsir, and she let her eldest daughter follow her around at first, but was pleased when she saw the changes as Westa grew older, and realized how acoomplished the heiress was really going to become. At 10, Westa had half-finished her training to become a Master Knight. At 13, she was sent to Razen to sit at the Queen's Council. At 14, she became a Master Knight, and at 15, she learned just how hard you have to be to survive somewhere your queen is reveered above everything else. When Westa came to Razen, it was the first time in her life she had ever been overwhelmed. While in her opinion the city itself had nothing on Cleraine, it was the politics she was thrown into that made her have to take a step back and breathe every so often in that first year. Everyone else on the council were older than her, and they seemed to know so much more than the heiress girl from Cleraine who had only dabbled before coming to the capital. Everyone but the Prince. At first, Westa clung to Reeve simply because they were of the same age (although she would never admit to any kind of clinging), but as some months passed, the two were working together more often than not, and her respect for him grew greatly. Being so young and on the council while not being a city representative, as well as being male, she found herself amazed at how different he was from her father, who always avoided conflict, and it made her like him even more. When Reeve actually started to court her (of sorts), Westa couldn't be happier. While not spending very much more time together than they had before, he still paid more attention to her, and the first time they kissed, she thought they were done. This was the real deal. But then he started ignoring her completely, and Westa, confused and hurt, did what she always did when faced with a problem; she tried to solve it. Paying closer attention to Reeve's patterns and behaviour, she noticed how he would always dote on his sister, make sure she was alright, give her gifts and so on, Westa realized just what was going on. Not being used to losing, nor particulary liking it very much, the girl, then 15, found Edalene with one of the gifts she had recieved from Reeve, and told the Princess in so many words that Reeve was just being a good brother, he didn't care for her that way. Westa had always been good with words, and although she had always liked Edalene well enough, she didn't feel much remorse after what transpired between the two. The Jewel of the Desert couldn't have everything, after all. That's basically what she's been thinking through the years. In the last seven years, Westa's love for Reeve has faded, but her feeling of slight towards Edalene has not, and whenever she has a chance, an inclination, or has had an exceptionally bad day, she will do something that will upset the Queen, and feeling all the better for it. She's becoming the best politician in the country, and is aware of the fact. There is some part of her that wants to take back the rule to it's rightful house, as House Atsir has always wanted, and should an opportunity arise that would tip the scales in that direction, Westa won't hesitate to take it, although she does not conciously seek that end. |
Westa is the most cunning and calculative woman you are like to meet. Always waying her options one way or the other, she sees situations in shades of opportunities, and which action would serve Atsiria, herself, or her House best. And she puts this to great use as a part of Queen Edalene's council. However, where most politicians are a flimsy smile and empty promises, this is not Westa. Her smile actually does look genuine, she only makes promises she intends to keep (although people might think they're being promised something when they are settling for a 'maybe'), and she values international as well as national relations above a lot of other aspects of politics. Westa knows you can come a long way with a smile, a laugh, or a joke, and she uses it as she sees fit. Although she personally has nothing to spare for weak people or people she deems useless, she is not hasty to vocalize her personal opinions; they can much too easy be used against her. She's a very self-assured and confident woman, and seems to fit completely into her own skin. If she takes offence, she's not likely to show it, although she will most likely get back at you later for it. However, no matter how highly intelligent, quick-witted and charming Westa might be, she has not show personal interest in another human being for quite some time, barring the occasional poking at Edalene. |
Tall, fair-haired and vivacious, Westa is nothing short of gorgeous. Although she is relatively taller than most women, and lanky as well, she doesn't have a frail look that a lot of nobility possess, though this might have something to do with her carrying herself with an air of confidence. She tends to keep a small smile on her lips at most times, but you can never be sure if it's because she's amused, smirking, or actually happy. She's found it's better to leave that part aloof. Her voice having a hoarse quality to it, she speaks mostly in normal tones, even at council meetings. Whether she does it conciously or not, it follows that she earns more respect for it and is almost always heard; something about her commands silence to be heard. </a></b></a> ![]() ![]() |
