I hadn't expected her to come to me so soon. Eventually, yes -- but no more than a day following Melyndra's departure? She gives no heed to how it makes her seem. Frightened, and weak. Audreyna is one woman, and Faella fears to stand against her without an army at her back, Lady of Atsir among them. I've no intention to move in the best interests of the Church. Better for us all if it should shake itself apart. It casts Melyndra's judgment into question, that she cannot choose a cohesive council in this, what she intends to be the heart of her new faith. Let the people wonder, I say.

Still, certain illusions must be maintained. And I cannot allow Faella to be outcast from the order, when I suspect she will tell me anything for the sake of my support. I've no doubt Audreyna might choose to go so far. Karlesta did not act alone, that night, and I know very well what she is capable of.
