I can't help but wonder what he's about.
I wonder too if this reflexive interest in court affairs is ever likely to leave me. It's all Joseph's responsibility now, true, but it's a hard habit to break. Gideon Eshene drags the Queen well away from safety and security, clear to the border. Reeve chooses not to accompany her? After that business with the Academy, I never thought such a thing possible. Something there has changed at the core, but it's impossible to form a theory only by gathering scraps of information from these books.
None of it pertains to Cleraine's interests, however. Not directly.
I wonder what Gideon will show her, once they've arrived. I wonder how our little Queen will react to it all, as well.
