Is it petty of me to wish there were more resistance? I suppose those who are faithful to the Dragons have simply resigned themselves. Still, I would enjoy it.
Were I a practicing devotee to that faith, and unbound by these political shackles, I would fight them every day. Debate them endlessly. Force them to filter their words from me to escape, and even then I would scorn them. Humiliate them where I could. Degrade their character so utterly that only fools would fall victim to their silly sermons.
Faith is shown through history to motivate women and men to extreme lengths. What a pity that we see so little evidence of it, here.
